Xiaomi Mi TV Stick to Release August 5 in India

Xiaomi announced Indian launch of Mi TV Stick. The company has posted Mi TV Stick’s teaser on its social media handle and confirmed on August 5, 2020 that the product is coming to the Indian market. Earlier in India, Xiaomi launched the Mi Box 4 K as the most affordable way to watch Android TV without actually purchasing a new Android TV. Xiaomi Mi TV Stick: Features and Specifications

Since the launch of the Mi TV Stick in Europe the device’s features and specifications are available on the internet. The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is 92.4 mm in length and weighs just 30gram. The Mi TV Stick will stream content to 60fps in Full HD+(1920X1080 pixels). The app runs Pie 9 on Android TV. The Mi TV Stick would require flatscreen TV with a USB port for connectivity. Under the hood, Mi TV Stick has less 1 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM.

Furthermore, Mi TV Stick comes with a remote that supports voice control through Google Assistant as well as Chromecast for use with devices supported. The Android TV Google Play Store is available on the device, enabling users to access more than 5,000 applications mentioned on the website. The Mi TV Stick will allow users to stream content directly from various OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+Hotstar, Zee5 and more.

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick: Expected Price and Availablity

On the European market, the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is priced at EUR 39.99 (approximately Rs 3.500). However, Mi TV Stick is expected to be priced lower on the Indian market, as Xiaomi ‘s earlier bid, which is Mi Box 4 K, is priced at Rs 3,499. As of availability, Mi TV Stick will be launched on August 5, 2020.
