WhatsApp Future Update to Include Chat Sync Across Multiple Platforms

WhatsApp is undoubtedly one of the world’s biggest social media sites. This has more than one billion monthly active users. It offers users a very easy way to communicate with other people. There are no distance limits, you can sit in one part of the world and text to someone who lives in the other part, all you need is an internet connection. Yet one feature several users have been calling for is being able to use WhatsApp at the same time on various devices. Not just like the WhatsApp Internet where you need to search and then use it, just as you do with Twitter, Instagram and other social media applications. In addition to that, it is also said that WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow multi-platform chat sync.

WhatsApp Works to Allow Simultaneous Logins in 4 devices

WhatsApp is not available on any other handset if you use it in one. WhatsApp is working on a feature that will synchronize the chat history across all apps, as per WABetaInfo.

The ability to use WhatsApp in various devices hasn’t happened yet, because the software has been used in a single system so far and this new functionality will take time to introduce. If a user moves his smartphone to use WhatsApp in a different environment, all the data will be synchronized between one computer and the other. This will be better if, at the time of synchronization, the user is linked to a Wi-Fi network, since uploading chats will take a significant amount of space.

WhatsApp is said to be testing the functionality on their mobile app for now. This latest functionality could well first be rolled out for the WhatsApp Cloud, rather than the ios app. When this happens, you won’t require your smartphone’s WhatsApp to be working to use the WhatsApp Web. Once you are using the WhatsApp Web, you can switch off your smartphone and still be able to use it on your desktop.

A notification will be sent to all devices through one of your apps. The encryption key will change when you uninstall or use a computer.
