WhatsApp Business App Upgraded, Comes With New Shopping Features
WhatsApp’s Business App now includes new shopping features. Previously available only on smartphones, the company is now offering businesses the option of creating and managing catalogues via WhatsApp Web (desktop version) rather than just smartphones. WhatsApp, a Facebook-owned company, has improved its marketing methods and is now offering the same for its business app.
WhatsApp stated in a statement that they are aware that most businesses manage their inventories on computers rather than smartphones. The new feature will make it simple to add new items or services, and it will make it easy for customers to see which items/services are available. This feature will benefit many businesses, but those with large inventories will benefit the most.
WhatsApp Business app now allows more than 8 billion users to browse the catalogue. It is also possible to hide unavailable items, which can then be shown again when they become available. WhatsApp is now rolling out the feature around the world, and if you haven’t gotten it yet, you will most likely get it in a few days.
How to Include a Product or Service in Your Catalogue
Step 1: Launch the WhatsApp Business app and select ‘More.’
Step 2: At the top of your chat list, look for the ‘Catalogue’ option and click on it.
Step 3: Click “Add new item” and select the images you want to upload from your Photos folder. Only ten photos can be uploaded at one time.
Step 4: The name of the product or service must be provided. Other options for an uploaded product, such as price, description, link, and item code, are not required and are optional. Then, tap ‘Add to Catalogue’ to add the product/service to your cart.
