WhatsApp beta users should reportedly start receiving the feature today.
Reportedly, WhatsApp is developing a function that allows users to mute a video before sending it to a friend. This feature, simply dubbed as Mute images, is being rolled out to WhatsApp beta users who presumably need to be on the new update of the beta, 184.108.40.206. Releasing a trial version of the software feature means that the company is checking it out and gaining reviews from the beta customers of WhatsApp to see if there are any glitches or problems.
A Mute videos functionality should be given to WhatsApp beta users who are on version 220.127.116.11 that will allow them to mute clips that they wish to share with friends before eventually sharing them. A WhatsApp report featuring the WABetaInfo tracker reveals that the option to silence videos would be found on the video editing screen. It seems to come under the search bar in the shape of a volume button, clicking on which the outgoing video will definitely be silenced.
