Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro Launched in India; Specifications, features and price

In India, the Realme 5 series has become official. It involves smartphones Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro as anticipated. These devices have arrived to replace the Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro devices previously presented this year. The models of the predecessor had dual back cameras. The Realme 5 Pro has 4.035mAh battery supports 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charging via USB-C. The full charge of the device takes 80 minutes, the company claims. Dirac HD and Smart PA power the smartphone speaker.

The Realme 5 Pro has a Sony IMX471 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 resolution. The phone’s back side is equipped with a fingerprint scanner and a top-left corner quad camera configuration. It includes the Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main lens with f/1.79 aperture, an ultra-wide 8-megapixel lens with 119-degree field-of-view and f/2.25 aperture, a2-megapixel portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture, and an ultra-macro 2-megapixel lens with 4 cm focal length and f/2.4 aperture. Smartphone photography characteristics include Chroma Boost, nightscape mode, PDAF, EIS, 960fps slow-motion video shooting, and 30fps 4K video recording.

The Realme 5 has a display of the same size as the Pro model, but it supports 720x 1600 pixel HD+ resolution. The business argues it has a notch reduced by 30 percent. It provides an 89% screen room. Also comes the Realme 5’s splash-resistant back with appealing crystal design.

The Realme 5 has a 13-megapixel front camera to shoot selfies. The Realme 5’s back panel also features a quad camera configuration. The Realme 5 features a quad camera configuration consisting of a main 12-megapixel lens, an ultra-wide 8-megapixel lens, a 2-megapixel profile lens, and an ultra-macro 2-megapixel lens. The Realme 5’s photo characteristics include nightscape mode, Chroma Boost, PDAF, slow-motion video shooting 240fps, and 30fps video shooting 4K. The handset is is fitted with a fingerprint reader mounted on the back.

The Android 9 Pie OS runs alongside redesigned ColorOS 6.0 UI on the Realme 5 series. For optimized output, the Realme 5 Pro features Hyper Boost 2.0. On both systems, the ColorOS provides better privacy and hotspot management characteristics. Google AR Core is also supported by the Realme 5 series.

The pricing and variants of the Realme 5 Pro and Realme 5 are as follows:

Its first sale will be held on Sept. 4 at 12PM through Flipkart and Realme’s online store in India. It will be available in Sparkling Blue and Crystal Green color variants.

  • 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage – Rs. 9,999
  • 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage – Rs. 10,999
  • 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – Rs. 11,999

The first sale of Realme 5 will take place on Aug 27 through Flipkart and Realme’s online store at 12PM. Its color variants are Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple.
