Today, Walt Disney unveiled the highly anticipated U.S. video streaming service, Disney+. The company also rolled out the official apps for multiple platforms as part of the launch. It should also be remembered that the service is also available in Canada and the Netherlands for interested audiences. Disney+ will provide unprecedented access to the content portfolio of Disney for the uninitiated. This includes content throughout their properties including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. The service will also broadcast a number of original series, including The Mandalorian, which is highly anticipated.
Details About Launch in India
As noted earlier, there was no release of the streaming service in India. Walt Disney did not share any information at the time of writing about the release of the product on the market. In reality, past reports have suggested that all of Disney+ content can be brought to Hotstar by the company. It is likely to be limited to the category Premium. Hotstar has not, however, shared any details about any such arrangement. Currently, Hotstar offers two thirds of paid subscriptions. These include Rs 365 annual Hotstar VIP and Rs 999 annual Hotstar Premium.
To Indian consumers, access to all of the Disney+ content for just Rs 999. There is no sign of a forthcoming Disney+ content joining the Hotstar platform, at least in the immediate future. Furthermore, the lack of information does not help potential Disney fans in India. On the Google Play Store or Apple App Store in India, the Disney+ app is not available. Visiting the website will guide users with a “Keep Me Updated” button to a landing page.
Disney+ streaming subscription price in India
TechTalks India has probably discovered the potential price of Disney+ in India despite the lack of clarity. We stumbled on the service’s pricing while in India trying to access it. So, with Rs 590 per month or Rs 5,900 per year, Walt Disney is expected to price the Disney+ video streaming service. The annual subscription would allow users to save the monthly subscription by 17%. Therefore, at launch, the company is also likely to offer users a free 7-day trial. All this information is likely to mean that Dinsey+ will be able to launch in the coming months as a separate service.
