Dell Vostro and Inspiron Laptops launch at $849 and $929 with Intel Comet Lake CPUs

With Intel’s 10th Gen portable CPUs published previously this year, namely the Ice-Lake and Comet-Lake line-up, companies have already begun to release laptops with the newer processors. Dell today announced the thin-and-light laptops Vostro 13 5391 and Inspiron 13 7391 that are packed in quite a punch.

Dell Vostro 13 5391

While the Vostro 13 5391 is basically a refresh from Comet Lake, Dell has added a few additional characteristics to make it a skilled offer. Starting with the spectrum budget-end, it comes with the Skylake Comet-Lake processors and a GeForce MX250 to compensate for the considerably lower GPU output compared to the SunnyCove Ice-lake processors. It looks like a really good deal with a decent memory specification, an option for up to 1 TB of SSD storage and a fairly generous port choice. A spill-resistant keyboard, support for Windows Hello, and stereo speakers are additional features.

Dell Inspiron 13 7391

  • Starting Price: $929
  • Processor: i5-10210U (4.2GHz)/i7-10510U (4.9GHz)
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2GB VRAM
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR3@2133MHz
  • Storage: Up to 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
  • I/O: 1x USB 3.1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C, 1x HDMI 1.4b, microSD card Reader
  • Screen: 13.3-inch 1080p with TrueLife
  • Weight: 0.955 Kg

Since the Inspiron 13 7391 is similar to the Vostro 13 5391, it will originally only be launched in China (23 August), Japan (3 September) and Brazil (11 December). Dell did not make any other statements about a discharge from the US or the EU, likely due to lower demand for ultrabooks on the western market compared to nations such as Japan. The Inspiron 13 is equipped with Intel’s 10 Gen Comet Lake processors and the GeForce MX250, meaning severe output. For something so compact and light, they even managed to include a respectable I / O. It also comes with a smart thermal solution that can detect whether it’s on a desk, a lap, or holding. Also included is a Windows Hello fingerprint reader. All this is quite remarkable for under a kilogram and a wonderful fresh entry into the Inspiron 13 line-up.
