Call of Duty Mobile Season 1 (2021) Now Live: What’s new?
One of the most popular mobile multiplayer video games currently available on iOS and Android is Call of Duty: Mobile. The first major update of the year was released by Activision and Tencent Games, resetting the timer from Season 13 to Season 1. To remember, the last update for 2020 was Season 13. A new multiplayer map, extended multiplayer game modes, new weapons and an upgraded Battle Royale mode are included in the Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1 update. It also adds new earnable rewards in addition to this and brings a new Battle Pass.
Introducing a new map, called Reclaim, is the biggest change this update brings. The new map is placed inside a holiday shopping complex that is categorized under a small to medium-sized map, where players can take on enemies on the ground or upper floors of the complex.
In a blog post, the company stated that in addition to providing excellent coverage down the middle of the map, “large pieces of cover in front of the blockades on either side will obstruct the view from the upper floors.” The accessible ground floor boutiques offer additional cover opportunities and surprise capture enemies. The company has also added a new 3v3 Gunfight and a 20-player Attack of the Undead modes to the game in addition to the new reclaim map. Under the new 3v3 Gunfight mode, two three-player teams will fight each other in the Gunfight format, where each kill will give players a new attack weapon. And 20 players will be put on a map filled with zombies in the Attack of the Undead mode.
The Blitz map, which is used in the Battle Royale mode, has also been updated to allow 40 players to battle each other in a fast-paced match in the Battle Royale format. Other new features include a new Battle Pass that provides free and premium content for 50 levels. New characters, new weapons, blueprints, charms and more are part of the new Battle Pass content.
