ASUS ROG Strix G is very popular in India currently and this attract me to buy this and make a review post on it. After using a month with this device, now i am writing a review post of ASUS ROG Strix G Gaming Laptop review and share my opinion and suggestion on this device.
I have Intel Core I7 with GTX 1650 with 16GB of RAM variant of this model. And i bought this device in Rs 75,240 from Flipkart on Big Diwali Sale.
Design & Built Quality
Design of this device is awesome. I love it’s looks when i seen this laptop for first time i just say “WOW”. But as i am not a gamer i had some doubt on my mind of their back plate RGB LED strip. But when i got this beast on my hand i am satisfied as its RGB is not destructing me on my collage and also it’s look so premium. This device is totally made by good rigid quality plastic and provide very good strength to this device.
There is some flex on keyboard deck but this is not a big issue as many laptop has this kind of flex. Hing of this laptop is good but not soo good. If you open or close its hing they can be break but if you use it comfortably then there will be no problem on this laptop.

Screen
ASUS ROG Strix G has 120 Hz 15.6 inch Anti Glare IPS LED Display. Again i love its screen. Display is crispy clear and color accurate but if you are a photo editor or doing any color work then this is not for you as it has not 100% color accurate supported display. I have heard some complain on the screen of this device but in my unit i haven’t seen these (screen bleeding). I am totally satisfied with their screen.
Keyboard & Trackpad
Keyboard and trackpad of this device is good. I love its feeling on using this device. This device has chiclet style keyboard with rgb backlit. This device has big trackpad with two dedicated left and right key which gives awesome experience to you. Overall this is best in this price segment.
Performance
ASUS ROG Strix G has two variant and i has i7 with GTX 1650 with 16GB of RAM. In my uses i haven’t see any lag or performance issue on my laptop but on my first day i had seen system crash on my device and after 14 days of uses i had seen system lag. But after restarting the laptop it work perfectly.
I only played PUBG PC Lite as i have some internet problem but when i played this game i haven’t seen any problem on this device. I also render videos from premiere pro and time this computer takes to render 10 min video clip are 15.9 min. On my daily uses i haven’t feel any lag or performance on this PC. Overall i am satisfied with the performance of this PC.
Thermal
ASUS ROG Strix G has two cooling fan which provides best possible cooling to this device. ASUS own software (Armoury Crate) always optimise it thermal and it has also 3 mod which is 1.Silent 2.Performance 3.Turbo which enhance you experience with this device.
Battery
ASUS ROG Strix G has 3 cell lithium ion battery which gives you 6-7 hours battery backup on normal uses and 1-1.5 hours battery backup on gaming. And if you play games on this laptop n battery mode then you will find lag on gameplay.

I bought this laptop for my daily task like writing article, media consumption, video editing and casual gaming. And if you are like me then you should keep this laptop on your list. This laptop is also suitable for collage or office uses as its looks isn’t totally dedicated to gamer.
