Apple will stop producing iPhone 12 mini in Q2 of 2021.

Apple is believed to be considering no more production of iPhone 4s. The company is anticipating that sales will go down soon and it might halt production in the second half of this year.

According to a BusinessInsider report, Apple plans to discontinue the very most affordable handset within the iPhone 12 series within the fourth quarter of 2021. The economic impact of iPhone 12 is taken from JP Morgan Chase industry report. Previously, we reported on Apple dramatically reducing its production of the iPhone 12 mini in order to focus on the high end models.

The company cut iPhone 12 production from 11 million to 9 million units. The analyst believes that in future iPhone assembly will most likely be performed in China than India and even less in Indonesia.

Yang also predicted that Apple would produce more than 80 million to 90 million units of the next iPhone series. The production of iPhone 12 marked an increase from 76 million units that was expected for the current iPhone 12 lineup. The analyst claims there will be no iPhone SE released this year. The low demand for iPhone 12 mini is likely the reason Apple discontinued the device.
