Big news for Apple lovers of India. As we heard many news about apple iPhone production on India. Finally a big good news came from apple India that Apple finally going to assemble iPhone XR series in Chennai which comes right after Apple’s decision to limit its older models, including iPhone SE, iPhone 7 and iPhone 6S, to be produced.
The iPhone XR will manufactured at Foxconn’s Chennai factory, the largest contract manufacturer in the world. With the entry of Salcomp, the Nokia Telecom Special Economic Zone near Chennai is expected to see a complete revival, with most shuttered units, including one from Foxconn, likely to resume production by March.
The government has asked Cupertino, Apple based in California to expand operations in India, with Prasad claiming that India will have the most advantageous regime to become a major center for mobile manufacturing.
The move seems to be the result of the recent war on trade between the US and China, in which the US proposed an increase in tariffs on Chinese imports. Apple had indicated that it would not raise the price of its goods and had also planned to move some of its production to countries such as Taiwan, Vietnam, Mexico, Indonesia and Malaysia.
A separate report also adds that in India, Apple will eventually begin the production of the new iPhone 11 series. Now there are three models under the series, but we assume that manufacturing will start at a later stage with the iPhone 11 added to the Pro models. Will this result in India’s lower-priced iPhones? Perhaps. But what we do know is that not all units manufactured in India will be sold exclusively in the country and exported around the globe.
