AMD Radeon RX 6700 series computers are scheduled to become available in March. We have only heard that the launch will occur within the next few months, but it seems that this has already been confirmed by Cowcotland. AMD’s next-generation graphics card is scheduled to launch on March 18th (Thursday). This means that the graphics card will not be available for the Q1 2021 launch window.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU will include the new Navi 22 GPU. This is a high-end processor with supporting features specifically for gaming laptops. The 40 Compute Units will be comprised of 2560 Stream Processors. The RX 6700 XT will feature this configuration, leaving a reduced variant for the non-XT variant.
At this moment, we do not know which 12GB GDDR6 memory chip the RX 6700XT will have. This model is expected to compete against NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB which is due for release on February 25th. No leaks have been released yet on performance or pricing. Rumor has it that the RX 6700 XT will arrive in very limited quantities.
